Royals Fall to I-5 Cobras in Week 2 Matchup, Look Ahead to Road Test in Spokane

Corvallis, OR – April 25, 2026

The Everett Royals faced a tough challenge in Week 2 of the 2026 season, falling 48–8 to the I-5 Cobras on the road in Corvallis, Oregon.

Despite the final score, the Royals showed flashes of resilience and playmaking ability throughout the contest. The team’s lone touchdown came from standout wide receiver Damon Baker, who delivered a highlight-reel, one-handed catch in the end zone before securing the two-point conversion. Quarterback Terrence Allen led the scoring drive and continued to demonstrate leadership under pressure.

Offensively, the Royals were led by Baker’s dynamic performance, along with contributions from running back Jeremy Reed, wide receiver Antoinne Wafer, and lineman Quintin Yon-Wagner, who provided key protection and effort in the trenches.

Defensively, the Royals were anchored by linebacker Timothy Hill-Thomas and Bryan Sarnowski, both of whom were active throughout the game. Defensive back Jacob Gentzler and defensive end Kadin Warren contributed strong efforts, with Warren applying pressure up front and helping disrupt the Cobras’ offensive rhythm in the first half.

While the result was not what the Royals had hoped for, the team remains focused and determined to improve heading into Week 3.

The Royals will travel to Spokane on April 25 to take on the No. 3-ranked Spokane Wolfpack in what promises to be a highly competitive matchup. With lessons learned and a renewed sense of urgency, Royals look to respond and continue building throughout the season.
